Since we believe the Bible is our sole authority for all faith and practice, we strive to conform our worship to what is most pleasing and honoring to God. Our Statement of Faith is provided under the "What We Believe" section and outlines in greater detail many of the principles we follow.
We gather corporately each Lord’s Day to exalt the Lord Jesus Christ. We divide into age specific Sunday School classes from 9:45 a.m. to 10:45 a.m.
Our main worship service begins at 11 a.m. with singing, prayer, Scripture reading, and expository preaching of the Word of God. Our corporate worship through song is done with great consideration. We sing a blend of Psalms, hymns and spiritual songs (Ephesians 5:19-20). We sing from the Hymnal and carefully chosen, recently written songs displayed on a screen. It is our desire to sing with hearts filled with joyful and reverential praise! We encourage all to join in even if it is just a joyful noise as long as it is heartfelt. The worship service is approximately one hour long.
A nursery is provided for children ages 3 and below during the main worship service. We encourage families to worship together as we understand and acknowledge that this is a growth process for children to gain self-control and appreciation for the worship of God and we support parents in this training process.
Our pastor preaches expositorily which means that he preaches verse by verse through the books of the Bible.
Many people struggle with how they should dress to come to church. We do not have a dress code at Seeley Lake Baptist Church so, we encourage you to dress in what you are most comfortable with but it should modest, which reflects a heart that is drawing near to the Creator and King of this universe.
