Jim Johnson PicturePastor Jim Johnson arrived here on September 12, 2019 from Eagar, Arizona. Before entering the ministry he was a Controls Engineer for Honeywell from March 1991 thru March 2015 when he retired. He entered the ministry as a bi-vocational pastor of First Baptist Church of Maricopa, AZ from May 2001 thru March 2015 when he became the fulltime pastor at FBC Maricopa. He continued to serve as pastor there until the end of December 2016 when he stepped down to care for his wife, Terry, who was fighting MS (diagnosed in 1985) and Alzhiemers. Terry went home to Jesus in May of 2017.

They were the parents of three sons and he is the grandfather of nine grandchildren (2 girls and 7 boys) ranging from 14 years of age to 6 months as of December 26, 2019.

He has received his religious training from Oklahoma Baptist University, Luther Rice Seminary, Grand Canyon University and The Master's Seminary in Los Angeles, California and is still working to finish his Masters of Divinity degree online with TMS. You can contact him by email at
