It is time to start the new series in 1 Corinthians. There is so much to digest and consider. A church with manifold problems get a letter from the Apostle Paul to help them get things right. By doing so it teaches us today so many things that we need to know to do our Christian lives and church life right.

I hope to communicate that Christ was revealed for YOU, for me for Whosoever will. What an amazing gift to become aware of in a hopefully more powerful way. It is great to know that God loved the people of the world, but to know it is personal is even better.

Hebrews Conclusion– Hebrews 13
Hebrews, is the book that shows the ‘better than’ aspects of Jesus Christ. Both for now and covering the past, but also for the eternal future ahead.

Text is 1 Peter 1:18-19
“knowing that you were not redeemed with corruptible things, like silver or gold, from your aimless conduct received by tradition from your fathers, but with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot.” (1 Peter 1:18–19, NKJV)
There is not a lot to add, but we do have to get our focus right to really appreciate what it says about us and the work of Christ.

1 Peter 1:13-19 was the text for the day. Focus on verse 17 and what it means to fear God. Are you in terror of God or do you take Him for granted?

Hebrews 13:10-16 speaks about the alter and sacrifice outside the camp. Calvery was outside Jerusalem and that is where the atonement offering was made in full. We are to observe and partake in that journey. If we find our lives in sync with this it should make a difference in our actions.

Our study of 1 Peter continues with a look at holy living. God’s standard for His children is to be holy because He is holy. We have to ask ourselves if that is how we do it? Do we even aspire to be holy? We should.
1 Peter 1:13-16 is our primary text as we consider our lives.
